Had a fabulous deepavali this year, rangolis, diyas and colors all around the house.

Painted Pots

Landscape stuggles

One more attempt at trees and landscapes in general. Having trouble laying the graphite for the grass. I can't seem to get it neither as dark nor as even as I want. Am still working on it. Hopefully few more days of work will have some improvement.

Cherries

Cherries.... graphite on canson sketch paper.

Jade...

 Small Jade plants in my garden. The ceramic pot is just about the size of a small tea cup. Had a tough time trying to pot this plant. Only two of my fingers would fit into the pot at any one time.

Reactivating

Back to this blog after a gap of two years. Baby break. Hopefully will able to draw and post here more frequently. That is if my two year old lets me do it.

Enjoyed playing with the background with this painting.

Lotus

The reference photo for this painting was on a magazine cover with the name of the magazine on the upper portion making it difficult for me to clearly see the details of the upper leaves and the water. Lesson learnt : Choose a clear reference.

Have been working on this the whole of this week. Am not sure how many hours it took. I used .5 mm mechanical pencils HB, 2B, 2H and a 4B wood pencil.
